Join the Town of Cary’s Spruce program as we partner with NC Big Sweep and NCDOT on October 3 for the Fall Litter Sweep! From the side of the highway to the sidewalks in your neighborhood, there are many opportunities for you or your group to get involved. You can either join an existing sweep or start your own. Either way we will get you all the supplies and tools you’ll need to keep our community beautiful. The litter sweep will run between the hours of 8:00 and 11:30 a.m. At noon, litter sweepers are invited to Bond Park for a celebration. There will be free Chick-Fil-A Sandwiches (provided by Stone Creek Village), hot dogs, drinks and a chance to win great door prizes. Mayor Harold Weinbrecht will also be on hand to thank you for your efforts so please don’t miss this wonderful community event. To register for this event, please contact Heather Morell at heather.morell@townofcary.org or 469-4301.

Mayor Harold Weinbrecht along with the Carolina Hurricanes' mascot Stormy, Heather Morrell, Conservation Specialist and Cheri Caggia of Girl Scout Troop 1961 promote "Keep Cary Clean" day at Home Depot last Saturday, Sept. 12.
