The Cary Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday, Sept. 16 at its annual banquet that Anthony Blackman, president of Atlantic Tire & Service, won the 2009 Business Leader of the Year award. The award is given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to both the community and the Cary Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber commented that Blackman, who has worked to be at the forefront of his profession and visibly active in the community, was recognized for having an entrepreneurial spirit and fostering a working environment that guaranteed results.
“It is an honor to receive this award from the Cary Chamber of Commerce,” said Blackman. “The chamber has always been very supportive of Atlantic Tire & Service and you couldn’t ask for a better community to work and live in. I will continue to do all I can to give back.”
