The Falcons battled Fuquay Varina in soccer on Monday, coming away with a tie. Coach Chadwick had these comments:
Playing at Fuquay is always a challenge. They play with a lot of spirit and are very physical. It was a back and forth game; they hit the post twice and we had one scoring chance saved off the goal line by a FV field player and we also muffed a few easy chances.
I was pleased with our resolve when we went down 0-1 in overtime and we fought back to equalize 1-1, less than 3 minutes later. However, overall, we did not play well in this game. We’ve got a few glaring items to work on before the NCHSAA playoffs start to be successful in the post season.
Thanks to Coach Chadwick for keeping us in the loop.
