Coach Chadwick’s comment, “Yesterday there were 64 teams in the state play-offs and today we are down to 32, we are happy to be included in the 32. I think people expected a high score in this game, maybe 3-0 or better in our favor, but West Johnston played very well, and their goalkeeper, Austin Tucker had an amazing night. The 1-0 final score gets us to the second round where we host Sanderson Saturday night at 6 pm. We played with great spirit, got the shutout and created a lot of chances, but our finishing around the box was a little off tonight and when we did hit the target, the keeper was spectacular. When I looked at the stats, we had 29 shots to West Johnston’s 3, they took 18 goal- kicks, which means we missed the target a lot. We’ll have to improve on our shooting and finishing  if we are to reach our goals.
