S&A Cherokee
S&A Cherokee, a full-service communications company, has been recognized with a 2009 Fast 50 Award from Triangle Business Journal.
The annual awards, honoring the fastest growing private companies in the Triangle area, were bestowed at a gala dinner held Nov. 5 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Research Triangle Park.
“This year’s winners are particularly impressive because in addition to a competitive landscape, these firms have overcome a challenging economy and continue to report growth in revenue and profits,” said Triangle Business Journal Publisher Charlene Grunwald. Profiles of Fast 50 Award recipients appear in a special section of the Nov. 6 issue of Triangle Business Journal.
This local recognition of S&A Cherokee’s growth complements the national acclaim the company achieved by being named to this year’s Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in America. S&A Cherokee was the only North Carolina company represented in the Media category of the Inc. 5000 and ranked 28th nationwide among all media companies. In the full 2009 Inc. 5000 list, S&A Cherokee came in at 2,466 among all companies in all industries, placing the company in the top half of the prestigious list.
“We have a philosophy of always looking forward,” said S&A Cherokee President Ron Smith. “We look at the business landscape and see opportunities as well as trouble spots, and it is gratifying to be recognized for our growth stemming from strategic decisions to pursue those opportunities.”
