Cary, NC – For those that have spotted the little blue & white Town of Cary signs at the intersection of Cary Parkway and High House Roads, there soon will be a public hearing to direct the improvements at the intersection known as “Preston Corners”.
Leading up to the public hearing, there will be a Design Open House this Wednesday (Dec 2) from 5:30- 7pm at Cary Senior Center, Room 302, located in Bond Park .
This meeting is the second public open house for this intersection, the first was reported here in Cary Citizen on August 5th. Unlike the earlier meeting, this will be conducted as an open house, with stationary presentations where citizens can come and go at will. At the last meeting, Cary staff planners and the consulting firm made power point presentations.
Here’s a link to the proposed plan: Preston Corners Map.
The public is invited to make comments that will become part of the public record on this matter. You may contact Town council directly, comment at the open house, or speak at the 1st public hearing.
The Town Council will have the first Public Hearing during their Dec 10 regular meeting time (6:30). At the public hearing citizens may speak for 3 minutes .
Many of us travel through this key Cary intersection every day. That makes us all stakeholders in the outcome of how we manage traffic here in the future.
