Green Hope High School Head Swimming and Diving Coach
Cary, NC – Green Hope’s Swim Team is off to a tremendous start for the 2009 season. Their Dec 15 meet at Campbell University continued their winning streak. Both the boys and girls swept every event. The girls led by 72 points, while the boys won by 119 points. Green Hope took first or second in every event. They competition included Harnet Central, Lee County High School (also a Tri 9 team) and Smithfield-Selma High.

The girls won all the relays as well.
The guys were not to be outdone by the women’s team. They placed first in every event. Henry Roach grabbed 1st in the 200 and 50 Freestyle. Jose Chavez was 1st in the 200 IM, and 2nd in 100 fly. Tad Spence and Krishna Pokuri were 1st and 2nd in the 100 backstroke. Dominick Glavich was the winner in the 100 fly and 100 breaststroke. The guys swept all the relays as well.
This huge win was on the heels of another great meet at the Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC) on Dec 10, where Green Hope competed against Apex and Athens. Glavich and Roach swept the 50 free with conference best times of 21.91 and 24.02. The Men’s team won easily, but the Women lost by 19 points to Apex, Athens finished second.
Midway through this swim season, Green Hope is continuing their meteoric rise to the top that they experience last winter.
