CARY, NC – The Town of Cary Police Department is asking for your help in apprehending a suspect who robbed the SunTrust Bank located inside the Harris Teeter grocery store at 2741 NC Highway 55 in Cary on December 17, 2009. At approximately 6:30 p.m., the suspect approached a teller, displayed what turned out to be a plastic toy handgun, and demanded money. Upon receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he left the store in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25-30 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, a blue knit hat, jeans, and possibly a light blue shirt.
