Cary, NC – Here’s an interesting item for film buffs: Nowell’s Furniture and Triangle Modernist Homes are sponsoring a screening of “The Fountainhead” at the Galaxy Cinema on January 14 at 7 PM.
If you haven’t seen it, “The Fountainhead” is a film classic adapted from Ayn Rand’s book of the same title. Gary Cooper plays a young, idealistic architect who won’t compromise his idealism for the crass jingle-jingle of success.
But that’s not all: “The Fountainhead” is the first in the Nowell’s Architecture Movie Series. What a great idea! Here are the other upcoming shows:
Nowell’s is the overall sponsor for the series. And Triangle Modernist Homes is a nonprofit dedicated to restoring and growing modernist architecture in the Triangle. George Smart, founder and director of TMH, organized the series.
Interesting stuff. And a great movie to boot. Pass the popcorn!
