$3,000 In Scholarship Money For Women Business Owners in Cary

Cary, NC – Do you need training or new skills to grow your existing business? The Women Business Owners Network of Cary (WBON – Cary), is seeking applications for $3,000 in scholarship money to be awarded in June 2010.

The Women Business Owners Network of Cary is awarding two scholarships of $1,500 each to be used for any type of educational training, classes, certifications, etc. to improve skills and knowledge for you in your business.

Applicants must:

  1. Be a woman with an existing business, open for at least 1 year as of January 1, 2010.
  2. Articulate how the scholarship money will be used in their continuing business education.
  3. Complete the application form available online at www.wbon-cary.org and mail it no later than April 1, 2010.

Scholarship winners will be chosen by an impartial (non-member) panel in early May and scholarship awards will be presented to winners at the WBON monthly meeting on June 2, 2010. Winners will also receive ongoing mentoring and a complimentary 1 year membership in WBON-Cary.

You do NOT have to be WBON Cary member to be eligible. The scholarship application is open to any woman business owner regardless of WBON or Cary membership.

Women Business Owners Network of Cary was founded in 1995 as a non-profit organization comprised of women in leadership positions.  They welcome all women in the Triangle Area who are owners, part owners, and prospective business owners, or are employed by businesses that support women in business.
