NW Maynard Road

Cary, NC – As you can imagine, this harsher-than-normal winter has definitely left its mark on our roadways. As stated in our previous report, we have pockets of potholes throughout the Town.  The majority of our major potholes are found on NCDOT roads.

Now that the weather is warmer, NCDOT has targeted portions of three major state roads in Cary for re-pavement and remarking.  This work is set to begin this Spring.

These roads include: NW Mayard Road from James Jackson Avenue to High House Road; Kildaire Farm Road from Byrum Street to Tryon Road and then Tryon Road to Palace Green; and Walnut Street from the US 1/64 exchange to Dillard Drive.  In addition to the above listed, NCDOT will patch potholes as requested in a prioritized manner.  You can contact the DOT directly to alert them by calling 1-877-DOT-4YOU.  If you see potholes and are not sure if it is a state-maintained road or a Town road, you can email potholes@townofcary.org or call Public Works and Utilities Department at 469-4090.
