CARY, N.C. –Last week, the USA Baseball Training Complex at Thomas Brooks Park hosted the USA Women’s Baseball team (that’s right- Baseball- NOT Softball) as the team won every game against their opponents: Australia’s National Team and the Southern Stars also from Australia.

Stand out players
Jenny Dalton-Hill and Nicki Holt both led Team USA with three RBIs apiece in a 16-2 win over the Southern Stars on Monday. USA’s pitching staff, led by Marti Sementelli, held the Stars to two runs on four hits in a shortened, six-inning exhibition game.
Where next?
Team USA travels to Venezuela today to compete in the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) World Cup, Aug. 12-22.
