Morrisville, NC – Hello Hartford and Columbus. Hello St. Louis, Tampa and Orlando. Delta is adding direct service from RDU to five cities and expanding flights to several others.
The new flights begin November 1. The routes to Hartford and Columbus have never before been offered from Raleigh-Durham International.
Delta had previously flow direct from RDU to St. Louis, Tampa and Orlando, but those routes had been cut. Now they’re back.
Additional flights have also been announced to Boston, New York/JFK and Minneapolis. In total, 14 new flights will soon be available.
For local business, this is good news, promising increased travel to the area and opening up new opportunities in cities previously difficult to reach.
Chalk up Delta’s announcement as another vote of confidence in the Triangle.
