Calling all student-musicians: Here’s your chance to win 4 concert tickets to the first night of the Cary Cross Currents Music & Arts Festival. All you have to do is send us a picture of yourself with your musical instrument.
Cross Currents Festival
This special two week-long festival is a mix of concerts featuring the Brussels Chamber Orchestra (BCO) along with special events in food, musical education and art.
The Festival includes a week long side-by-side experience for outstanding local high school string players, free open rehearsals, before-and-after events at outstanding Cary restaurants, special showings of “Sweet Home Cary” and an innovative Drawing to the Music program.
The Cary Cross Currents Music & Arts Festival runs from July 5-18 in downtown Cary with principal events at the new Cary Arts Center.

Eligibility: Student musicians, K-12.
To enter, send us:
- A photo of student with musical instrument
- Name of student
- Plays in (school band, church, etc)
- Years playing
- Age of student
- Contact name, email & phone number (won’t be published)

CaryCitizen will collect and number all the photos. Cross Currents Festival Director Carrie Knowles will pick the winning number out of a hat (or maybe a violin case).
The winner will receive 4 tickets to the July 8, 2011 Cross Currents Festival opening night show, BCO Side-by-Side, at the new Cary Arts Center.
The winner will be notified by phone (or email) and featured in a column on CaryCitizen.com.
Tickets for the concert will be held at the Cary Art Center Will Call location at the box office.
