Story from staff reports. Photos by Brooke Meyer.
Cary, NC – Who can resist a Fourth of July parade or a watermelon eating contest? It was a good time at Bond Park on Independence Day and we’ve got the pictures to prove it.
The festivities started early with an informal Fourth of July parade featuring bikes, wagons, strollers and a jovial crowd.
The day unfolded with watermelon-eating and donut-scarfing, a sack race, balloon toss and more. Brooke Meyer photographed the fun for CaryCitizen.com.
