Bob Weir and Phil Lesh in Cary This Week

July 9, 2012 | Story by: | Categories: Events, Featured, Music

Cary, NC  – Fans of the Grateful Dead won’t want to miss this week’s show at Booth Amphitheatre featuring Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and their band Furthur.

Still Trucking

Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and their band Furthur take the stage at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary on Wednesday night, July 11, 2012.

Lesh and Weir, of course, are best known as founding members of the Grateful Dead.

The current band features a lot of Dead material on the set list, but goes, well, further. At every show, they include a fair share of songs by other artists and bands – their take on Dear Prudence by the Beatles or Dear Mr. Fantasy by Traffic.

What hasn’t changed since the Grateful Dead days is the outstanding musicianship. Furthur is so loose they play a different set list every night.

Here are set lists from July 6, 7 and 8.

So you never know what you’ll hear. But it’s going to be good.

The weather looks to be a little cooler this week with temps predicted in the low 80′s for showtime on Wednesday.
