Cary, NC -There are strengths in numbers, and for non-profit organizations, often strapped for funds, an umbrella organization may be able to help. Executive Service Corps of the Triangle (ESC) recently sent out a survey to non-profits in the Cary area to test the need for just such an organizing group.
ESC is an organization that helps area non- profits hone their leadership and fundraising skills. Kate Mazza, Associate Director for ESC of the Triangle is hoping enough folks respond to her query to get a group going that could help to strengthen how non-profits serve their communities. A roundtable type group could include the important exchange of information and best practices. She sent the survey out this past week to area executive directors and board members.
The Executive Service Corps of the Triangle (ESC) has been asked by community leaders to try to identify the needs of the Western Wake Nonprofit community around forming a roundtable of nonprofit leaders. Several years ago a group of Executive Directors formed the Cary Nonprofit Alliance with the intention of supporting and nurturing the nonprofit agencies that serve the Cary community. That group is no longer in operation.
Strength in Numbers
The survey will ask self assessment questions about the needs of nonprofit leaders in general and your agency in particular. The agencies’ collective responses will be tabulated to determine the interest in forming a support network for nonprofits in Western Wake.
Survey Closes in 1 Weeks
CaryCitizen cannot post the link here, as that would invalidate the results. If your organization would like to fill out the elctronic version of the survey, contact Kate Mazza directly. She will add your group to her database and send you the link. ESC would prefer that Executive Directors and Board Chairs complete the survey.
The survey will be closed in 1 week, on July 20, 2012.
