Cary, NC – Cary Innovation Center, only open since March, has graduated its first entrepreneurial client: lawyer Kara Hand.
CIC is more than just office space for startups in downtown Cary. It’s intensive business mentoring designed to sort out the nuts and bolts of success.
One measure of graduating from CIC is when a business becomes too big for the innovation center. So it is with Kara Hand. Her law practice is moving out of CIC to a larger office on West Chatham Street.
“When I decided to expand my business, I thought CIC would be a good fit,” said Hand. “I liked the business mentoring aspect. It’s been kind of like having a business partner.”
Kara will continue as a non-resident client of CIC, using our mentoring services to help grow her business to the next level.
Kara Daniels Hand is a Cary native through and through. She lives in the house her grandparents built in 1951 on East Chatham Street. Her great-grandmother graduated Cary High in 1901. Her parents ran Jack Daniels Grocery & Deli on Jones-Franklin Road until just a few years ago. She is a seventh generation member of First United Methodist Church in Cary.
A graduate of NC State, Daniels Hand Law specializes in residential real estate closings, estate planning, business formation, wills and trusts.
I provide concierge service to the client,” said Hand. “An example of this personalized service are the ‘will parties’ conducted at home for clients to make the process more fun and convenient.”
