Cary, NC – Waverly Place announced today that it has signed a 20 year deal with CineBistro, a luxury movie theater with in-theater dining. CineBistro will occupy approximately 35,000 square feet on two floors at Waverly Place.
Cobb has been in the movie exhibition business since 1921.
“We are so delighted to be bringing CineBistro to our Waverly family,” says Jenn Olevitch, Director of Leasing for RP Realty Partners.
“We believe there has been a need for this type of luxury theatre in the Triangle for quite some time. It is a concept that has flourished throughout the nation and we are excited to bring this unique concept of CinéBistro to Waverly and the Triangle,” said Olevitch.
CineBistro promises the finest cinema experience combined with great food, an excellent assortment of wines, premium drinks and spectacular ambiance.
The new theater is expected to start construction this fall and should be open by second quarter of 2014.
With the signing of CineBistro, Whole Foods Market expansion and extension for 15 years and all of the other small shop space leases, over 125,000 square feet have been signed since the Waverly renovation started.
Add to that Wind Down Wednesday, the Waverly Farmers Market and all the other events and happenings, it’s safe to say the RP Realty Partners has engineered an amazing turnaround at the busy corner of Tryon and Kildare Farm Road.
Like the Supermarket Wars, movie theater infrastructure and investment is entering a new act in the greater Cary metroplex.
At the corner of Cary Parkway and Chapel Hill Road, the venerable Park Place 16 faces what might be called an existential crisis with the opening of Stone Theatres at Park West.
Meanwhile, The Galaxy Theater across from Cary Towne Center came crashing down in a shower of dust this past May.
And, the Town is renovating Cary’s first movie house on East Chatham Street downtown.
Net-net for Cary: more screens, more films, more quality movie houses. It’s show time!
