Go Local: Made in the USA

made-usa

Cary, NC — There’s a movement that has been growing to purchase and promote products that are made here in the USA. Whisk in Cary will celebrate July 4th with their own Made in the USA celebration.

“Made in the USA” Store Event

Whisk’s  “Made in the USA” celebration will run from June 28th through July 5th.

The store will be highlighting its large selection of USA made kitchen products by marking them with American flags and offering a 20% off discount on all American-made merchandise, excluding food and electrics.

In addition, there will be a raffle drawing to win a premium cutting board by one of Whisk’s favorite American companies, Epicurean.

Highlighting USA Manufacturers

Manufacturers represented in the week-long USA celebration include:

  • Wellness Mats
  • USA Pan
  • Epicurean
  • All Clad
  • Microplane
  • William Bounds
  • Fletcher’s Mill
  • Gourmac
  • JK Adams
  • Lamson Sharp
  • NexTrend
  • WOW Bacon
  • Chef’s Planet
  • The American Cookie Cutter Co.

Raffle

The store will hold a raffle where the winner will receive an Epicurean cutting board valued at $50.00. These cutting boards, made in Duluth, MN, are eco-friendly, knife friendly, dishwasher safe and come with a lifetime guarantee. One side of the cutting board is specific to slicing bread with special grooves which hold crumbs and keep counters clean — American ingenuity at work.

Go Local

If you don’t know Whisk, they are a locally owned independent retailer of  quality kitchenware located in the recently renovated Waverly Place shopping center. In addition to housewares, the store offers culinary classes in their full kitchen located at the rear of the store.

Another example of a Go Local merchant, supporting other locally made products.

Some real nice, and sometimes hard to find, kitchen gadgets, pans, knives, etc., at this place. Even without a special sale, which makes it even better. Note: I have no financial interest in ‘Whisk’, except giving them my money when I purchase stuff.
