Thursday morning begins bright and early with a Heart of Cary Association monthly meeting.

According to the Calendar, an intriguing program called Eastern Inspired Gardens will be at West Regional Library from 6:30-7:30. Program is free but reservations are recommended. 919-463-8500.

Also Thursday, Park West Village kicks off its Autumn Nights in the District, a series of Thursday night festivals with music, entertainment and stuff for kids. Bring a picnic and a blanket (outside alcohol prohibited).

Friday, September 5, 2014

Friday is all about the music with Erin Mason at Rallypoint and Project City Blues Project out on the street at the corner of Chatham and Academy.

There’s also live music at Mac’s Tavern and at Unvined plus karaoke at Havana Grill & The Corner Tavern.

Saturday, September 6, 2014

Fresh produce will be bursting from the bins at Cary’s three farmers markets this weekend.

Also Saturday, the 7th Annual EID Festival comes to Cary Arts Center and the Downtown Performance Green.

At 8, Six String Presents Robbin Thompson, featuring Jeffery Hyde Thompson at The Cary Theater downtown.

Across the Triangle

The 27th Bull Durham Blues Festival hits the stage Friday and Saturday this weekend in Durham at the old ball park. Headliners include Shemekia Copeland, Kermit Ruffins and The Campbell Brothers. Food, beverages, arts and crafts plus great music for all. Tickets on sale at www.hayti.org.

Also this weekend, Hopscotch Music Festival takes to the streets and the clubs in Downtown Raleigh. Headliners include Spoon on Friday and Mastadon on Saturday. More info http://hopscotchmusicfest.com/.
