Cary, NC — The calendar is full once again with great music, great shows, and great causes–like the Cary Invasion’s benefit game for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund or the Save a Life Gala for teen suicide prevention.

The Annie Moses Band will play at the Cary Arts Center on Friday evening at 7:30 pm. The group of six siblings is known for their classical music training combined with a pop, jazz, and bluegrass influence. Don’t miss pre-show music in the lobby by the Cary Youth Chorale. Tickets range from $22-$26 and are available through etix.

At the same time, in the Page-Walker hotel, the Cary Players will repeat their second weekend of their annual sell-out Valentine’s Day show, The Best of Love: Bits and Bites. Tickets are $25 and available online for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shows.

The Greenlevel Entertainers, presented by Six Strings, will perform at the Cary Theater at 8 pm on Friday evening as well. Tickets start at $20. Tickets are available through etix.

Cary’s 17th annual African-American Celebration will take place at The Cary on Saturday from 3-4 pm. The free event will feature live entertainment and programs that celebrate history and heritage.

The Save a Life Gala will take place at Goel’s Plaza in Morrisville from 7-11:30 pm on Saturday evening. Tickets of $60 a person will benefit teen suicide prevention and provide guests with heavy hors d’oeurves, beer and wine, a silent auction, and live entertainment. Tickets are available online.

Also on Saturday, the Cary Invasion will play their biggest rival, the Durham Revolt, in a basketball game benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. This show will be lots of fun with an extended halftime performance. Tickets ($5-$10) are available at the door of Herb Young; gates open at 6 pm.

There’s more! The Triangle Brass Band will present Harrison’s Dream at the Cary Arts Center at 7 pm and Six Strings will host a $20 songwriting showcase at the Cary Arts Center at 8 pm.

Across the Traingle

The North Carolina RV Show will take place all weekend, February 20-22, 2015, at the state fairgrounds in Raleigh. Ticket details and showtimes are available online. Don’t miss a variety of fun, educational seminars and great products and campers–all under one roof.

The Nevermore Horror & Gothic Film Festival will take place Friday-Sunday at the Carolina Theatre in Durham. The festival will screen both fan favorites and new horror movies from around the world–some of which have not been seen in the United States. Find show schedule and tickets online.

A Family & Friends Sunday at the Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill will take place from 1-5 pm on Sunday. Participants can conduct “art interviews” with family and friends, play bingo, and create puzzles. This event is free and for all ages.
