Just ahead of this weekend’s snowstorm, The Cary Jaycees held their annual Cary Christmas Parade in Downtown Cary. The skies were overcast, and the air a bit chilly, but everyone remained dry and the crowds were large.
On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, hundreds of Cary-ites had the chance to give the Town feedback on the future development plans for the second phase for Cary’s Downtown Park. More than 300 citizens attended the workshop.
Western Cary’s signature festival, Fest in the West, will take place this coming Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Thomas Brooks Park.
2018 marks the third year that CaryCitizen will produce Fest in the West, and the second year we partner with the Town of Cary to hold the event at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Thomas Brooks Park. Dare we say it? Fest in the West has become West Cary’s Signature event!
Western Cary is growing faster than any other area in Wake County with new subdivisions seeming to pop up overnight. The area recently opened a new YMCA, a Publix grocery is coming soon and now they have an annual festival: Fest in the West. CaryCitizen is proud to partner once again with the Town of Cary to produce the third annual Fest in the West event on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
Cary, NC- Everything shut down on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 as the snow began to fall by early morning. School sand Town facilities had made the call on Tuesday night to cancel services, and many stayed home form work as roads became slippery.
Cary, NC- The weather services were calling it a “Bomb Cyclone” but here in Cary we received just about 3″ and none of the wind that our neighbors to the North experienced. The snow arrived late Wednesday night, January, 3rd and folks awoke to a winter wonderland Thursday morning.
This past Saturday, October 7, 2017, many people from around the community gathered for the Tour de Cove event, to raise money for medical costs for Lori Cove.
The Cary Scavenger Hunt took place this past Saturday, September 16, 2017, beginning and ending at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center. Sixty-seven teams registered to take part in this year’s fun.
