The Alabama Shakes certainly shook the Koka Booth stage Friday night. The Shakes drew the largest audience I’ve seen at Koka Booth this summer.
The Willie Nelson concert at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary last Friday night (September 14) felt more like a quaint family reunion than a show. In a good way.
It was a honky-tonk kind of night at Koka Booth Amphitheater on Friday, as Cary’s rowdiest gathered to spend an evening with Hank Williams Junior.
As the sun set over Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Delta Rae finished up their set and the crowd in Cary waited patiently for the main event. Finally, the acoustic band took the stage, but where was their front man? After a charming instrumental intro, Lyle Lovett entered from stage right and joined in for a catchy tune called “Choke My Chicken.” The evening was off to a great start.
I’ve been pretty slack about updating my blog, so I’m going to give you an outline of this past week, Sunday to Sunday. In a way, the past seven days have been a prime example of all the best aspects of life in Copenhagen. Let’s get started.
