Cary, NC – Cary Ballet Conservatory, located at 3792 Cary Parkway, is opening a new dance annex right next door. They purchased a former church building and the renovation of the building began over the summer. Plans are on schedule for the annex to be ready for Fall classes. Read more

Concert Notes: Alison Krauss And Union Station

Cary, NC – Alison Krauss could sing selections from the US Tax Code and it would sound good. Her voice is that amazing.

She and her band, Union Station, performed Thursday night at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, playing a mix of older tunes and songs from their new album, “Paper Airplane”. Their country / bluegrass music and their friendly demeanor made for a relaxed, you-are-hanging-out-with-friends feel. Read more

Cary, NC – “You’re a quiet bunch, huh?” asked Death Cab For Cutie’s front man Ben Gibbard to a lackluster crowd at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary.

Unfortunately, he was 100% right. The crowd stood stiffly in the general admission pit section, barely moving at all, let alone jamming out or dancing. Read more
