Lori’s Blog: Miss Representation – Free Women’s History Month Movie

Cary, NC – March has traditionally been the time when I write about “Women’s History” – our struggle for the vote and women’s suffrage, or our lack of representation in government or lacking a seat at the table of our private sector companies. It makes sense to do this, given it’s Women’s History Month.

And yes, I’ve written about this before – and you can read my previous blog posts here, and here.) Read more

Movie Reviews: Kong: Skull Island and Get Out

A Cure For Wellness

Cary, NC – Director Gore Verbinski (The RingPirates of the Carribean) returns to the horror genre with A Cure For Wellness. The film is filled with atmosphere and terrifying imagery, and while it can’t quite stick the landing, credit must be given for Verbinski trying something so daring and dark on a big studio level. Movie Reviews: The Lego Batman Movie and Paterson

The Lego Batman Movie

Cary, NC – The Lego Batman Movie is a follow-up to the surprisingly great The Lego Movie from a few years ago. That film proved to be smart, original, funny and even had a nice little lesson about creativity and learning to play with others nestled in among all the jokes and sight-gags. The Lego Batman Movie strikes gold again, as the film has jokes and puns flying at you a mile a minute, while also sneaking in the fact that depending on your friends and family is A-OK! Read more
