Portions of the proceeds from the C3 Food Truck Rodeo will go toward helping Cary Creative Center raise money for a much needed move.
$60,000 by September
C3 has set an ambitious goal. They need to raise $60,000 by September in order to move out of their current cramped location. This weekend marks their second anniversary and in this short time they have grown out of their current space, which is owned by the Town of Cary.
They have until September 30 to find a new space when their lease runs out.
50 Tons of Waste Re-Purposed
During their two years, they have helped to divert 50 tons of waste from the landfills. They take in all sorts of donations from greeting cards to office supplies, craft items and fabric, as well as other recyclables like lids and paper.
People can come in and shop for these items to create art, school projects, troop crafts, and also to purchase steeply discounted office supplies. Troops and groups come in to work on badges. Classes are offered in crafting from upcycled materials.
